PuTTY
From UTF-8
The PuTTY SSH client for Windows and Unix supports the UTF-8 character set, but in versions before 0.63 it may not be used by default. You can set the character set for the current session with
- Window → Translation → Received data assumed to be in which character set → UTF-8,
and save this as the default setting with
- Session → Default Settings → Save.
